Like all the Guides at About.com, I'm a real person. While I enjoy talking about gardening with fellow gardeners, I simply get too much mail to answer every question personally. However, I do check the Gardening Forum regularly and will often answer questions posted there. When you bring your questions and comments to the forum, you also get help from the other visiting gardeners who generously share their wisdom and experience.

Whatever your level of experience, I hope you will become part of our community on the Gardening Forum.

Q. What types of questions do people ask?

A. You can use this forum to discuss anything about gardening. For example, if your tomatoes are getting spotty and you need a solution, ask here. Or maybe you want some advice on keeping deer away from your hostas, or when to transplant your peonies.

You can also use this forum to boast about your garden success stories. A little good natured competition in the garden is fun. Suggestions for techniques and products you really love are also always welcome.

Q. Is the forum monitored?

A. I'll be here to make sure all your questions get answered, but the forum is not monitored 24/7. I do ask that you keep your posts gardening related and be courteous with each other. However some friendly chat is perfectly acceptable and even encouraged.

Q. What else is there to do here?

A. This site has information on all types of gardening subjects. New content is being added all the time. There are articles, how-tos, photo galleries and product reviews. Feel free to look around and see what interests you. If there is a topic I don't seem to be covering, email me and let me know. I'm always looking for new ideas.

Q. What if I have a link to suggest?

A. Great. You can either post it on the forum, so that everyone can try it out, or send me an email at gardening.guide@about.com. Definitely email me if you notice that an existing link isn't working.
